This website provides development information about E-Cell System, an object-oriented software suite for modeling, simulation, and analysis of large scale complex systems, particularly focused on biological details of cellular behavior.

E-Cell System is a GPL'ed software product that constitutes a part of E-Cell project. E-Cell Project is an international research collaboration aiming at developing necessary theoretical supports, technologies and software platforms to allow precise whole cell simulation.
