Upcoming Workshop

We're pleased to announce the second annual E-Cell workshop that is to be held on December 16th. In contrast to the previous January workshop where we mainly discussed topics involved in the development, we are rather arranging this event to be an user event based on talks and discussions by the participants so that users from various backgrounds can get to know and communicate with each other.

Anyone who is an E-Cell user, or just interested in the E-Cell System, is welcome.

If you have any questions, please drop a line to the organizer of the event, Moriyoshi Koizumi <mozo@sfc.keio.ac.jp>.

Further update about the workshop will be noticed on http://www.e-cell.org/ecell/workshop/2007-12/info .

Date

December 16th, 2007

Place

Keio SFC campus (the room is to be announced)

Schedule

Details will be announced when speakers are lined up.

Topics

  • A brief description on the development of the E-Cell System. Includes a talk about E-Cell 4 design and its background by Koichi Takahashi, and the recent development topics by Nathan Addy, both of whom work at the Molecular Science Institute.
  • Talks by the participants regarding their studies using E-Cell. Currently we suppose we will have 9 or 10 talks, 5 to 15 minutes each. Please let us know if you are willing to give a presentation. Since non-Japanese speakers will take part, we appreciate use of English in slides and presentations.

A dinner gathering at a restaurant around Shonandai station is also planned after the workshop. If you wish to join, please let me know by December, 10th.
