Installing E-Cell3 on Windows
- E-Cell version 3.1.102
- For a complete setup: Python 2.3, GTK and E-Cell3 Full Installation
Starting the Installation Wizard
1. Locate the setup file for E-Cell3 (.exe)
2. Double click on the setup file to start the installation wizard
Starting E-Cell3 Installation
3. Click Next to start E-Cell3 installation.
4. License Information.
Please review the license information, and click Next.
Installing Required Libraries
5. E-Cell Required Libraries
A list of required libraries before installing E-Cell will be shown.
If you are missing any of the libraries, the installation wizard will
automatically install them as well. Click Run Setup to continue.
6. If Python is not found on your computer, the following window will appear.
Click OK to proceed.
7. Select destination directory
Click Next
8. Backup Replaced Files
Select Yes, and click Next
9. Select Components
Select all components and click Next
10. Select Start Menu Group
Click Next
11. Ready to Install
Check the installation contents and click Next
12. Installation Completed
Once python is installed, click Finish
13. If GTK is not found on your computer, the following window will appear.
Click OK to proceed.
14. GTK Setup Wizard
Click Next
15. GTK Choose Components
Select components and click Next
16. Choose install location
Click Next
17. Choose Start Menu Folder
Click Install
18. Installation will automatically start
19. Completing the GTK setup wizard
After GTK installation is complete, click Finish
20. E-Cell Required Libraries
Check that all required packages are installed. Click Next to proceed.
21. Select Destination Location
Select the destination of E-Cell installation. Click Next.
22. Select Components
Select components to be installed.
If this is your first time, select Full installation.
23. Select Start Menu Folder
Select the location of program shortcuts. Click Next.
24. Select Additional Tasks
If you would like to create desktop or quick launch icons,
select the appropriate check box.
25. Ready to Install
Installation is now ready. Check the installation components and click Install.
26. Installing
Installation will automatically start.
27. Finish
The following window will appear once installation is complete.
Click Finish to exit setup.
